The vendor was great to deal with, they did not have the color I ordered, he called me to ask if I wanted to take another color. I agreed and he sent the color I requested and a different (but nice too) lighter for free. What I don't like is the lighter. Well it's OK, thus the 3 stars. But...what is wrong with it. Well the finish is not durable at all, I have had it a rather short time and the finish is wearing off and the lighter looks bad...beat up. Also, you have to slightly push the operating "button" for a fraction of a second to allow some butane to flow so it will light on the first strike. If you just strike it without doing that, it will not light on the first strike but needs a second strike. On the same order I ordered a Thunderbird insert for a Zippo and it lights first strike, every strike. The Thunderbird was a bit over 1/2 the price of this lighter. It is less expensive and works better. The Thunderbird is a single flame vs 3 in this lighter.Received a defective-ish unit that wouldn't consistently strike/burn evenly. Mike's Cigars credited the purchase after I asked for an exchange. Performance dropped over next few months, even with premium V3ct0r fuel.Update: Second and third purchases have been working very well for nearly a year and a half now. Use premium fuel and clean/adjust peizo lead when not striking. Cheap paint peels off. Would be perfect if Colibri made a brushed stainless, or aluminum body version. More ? though.I spent a while looking at different torch's here and this one stood out. Out of the desire to have a torch with a fuel window, I bought it - and I'm glad I did. This torch is SOLID. It has a good feel and weight to it and unique looks that really catch your eye. The lighting mechanism is also solid, lighting the first time every time. The fuel window is large and easy to see and the adjustment dial is very easy to move (maybe almost too easy... I'll find out) without any tools. It does have a 'carabiner' style hook on the bottom and I could see that being pretty useful. Overall for the price and the quality, this is a great torch.I bought this lighter and 3 bottles of fuel to go with it. I had to return the first one because it did not fire all three torches only two. I had an old cheapo gas bottle that I finished off for the first few refills. When I switched to the primo fuel I wasted half a tank trying to refill the lighter. I have the correct tip (long) and its even metal for easier filling. The lighter will not take fuel and the combination of having it run out quicker than I hoped and the trouble of refilling earned it a low rating....40$ on fuel and lighter and I have no working lighter.Works great, especially for the price. Sadly it's top heavy and doesn't balance well on a desk or table top that is prone to bumping. Bought it for a cheap backup to my daily drive (xikar ellipse iii) which it preforms almost as well.Sorry, this is not a good design. I like the big reservoir and ease of seeing how much butane is left. However, the torches, even on a low setting, heat up the cover which is attached to the thumb lever. It's a solid steel piece. Super sturdy, but it's gets hot. Not too much of a problem if you just light your cigar and go. But if you want to toast the foot and get your cigar good and ready, you have to move quickly, and you have to tilt the lighter to keep the thumb lever from burning your thumb.I bought this for camping, but my son liked it so well, he kept it. Triple flame uses a lot of fuel though. Single flame next timeSo far so good- I like the fuel window and the easy adjustment wheel at the bottom. With a triple torch I presume it'll burn a lot of gas.Fortunately, I miss-ordered a a half dozen 10oz/300ml cans of Colibri butane a while back thinking they'd be much smaller.(Think the size of grandma's old hair spray)Yeah- I have lifetime supply now.
