Does what its supposed to do but for me, there is a tendency to adjust the flame when using the lighter as designed. My little finger seems to engage with the flame adjustment and unintentionally adjusts to full flame. This lighter does put out a strong flame so I make a point to hand light, never relight with smoke in my mouth. I could confirm adjustment and then light my smoke or just focus on keeping my finger out of the way but hand lighting is my personal work around. The only reason I don't say it IS the best lighter I have is because I have some that are fancier. Functionally and practically, this is the best of the lot and I have many lighters. This style has a design feature allowing a key ring style ring to be attached and hence a D ring can be utilized making this a very handy lighter I don't have to dig for in a pocket or a pouch. I find the torch type jet to be highly efficient and the capacity is what puts this lighter over the top. The capacity is amazing, unlike most lighters that have tiny little tanks. I have a bunch of these as spares because they're so good. One of the best lighters that I own. Wind proof. The lighter took the butane fuel beautifully, and has worked fine since I received it.Quite the nice torch lighter; adjustment feature is wonderful.Based on the other reviews, I feel fortunate.I purchased two of these because the first one started to have issues within a few days of use. It wouldn't light on demand and it would take several clicks (3-10 or more) before it would light. The problem only got worse over time. The lighter also had cracks in the plastic see-through tank when it was new.The second one I purchased worked fine for about a day until a four-foot drop onto a carpeted floor caused the tank to crack and it started spitting out lighter fluid until the tank was empty. This was disappointing. The tank material seems fragile judging from the cracks in the first one and how easily the second one was damaged by a short drop onto a soft surface. It would be understandable if the lighter was damaged from a fall onto a hard surface like a concrete floor, but not on carpet.I recommend looking at other lighters. This one isn't worth your time or money. If you want to light a cigar, I highly recommend this one, it does its job well.Good reliability for an inexpensive lighter.Overall it's a solid lighter, only downfall is that you have to turn the flame 3/4 the way for it to work and maxed out seems like it should be closer to the low flame.
