i ve used a few different butanes, the last being zippo, and they ve all been mediocre except for the zippo, which did not work in ANY of my 5 lighters. the xikar (which has been recommended to me by a few people) was great, filled all 5 lighters and they all but one fired up instantly with no tuning. tuning was still obviously needed to get a perfect flame, but im used to having to tune every time i use them here in colorado. on a side note, the xikar stratosphere is an amazing high altitude lighter.
