I received this item very quickly. It was exactly what I expected. I connected #14 AWG zip wire to it by soldering. It was a little tricky making the connections because the Socket was really made for #16 AWG wire or smaller. However, after stripping the wire I twisted it tightly with my fingers and it did fit through the small terminal hole for soldering. The other part of the two part wire had to be slightly crimped to one of two ground terminals and soldered in place. Ultimately it worked well. I was making a 25 foot 12-volt extension cord for an automotive lug nut remover and wanted a heaver wire to handle the current over such a long run. Using it to extend all the way back from my pull vehicle to my pull behind RV travel trailer.
